I see, sketchbook in hand. Gestures, costumes, energy, light and form unfold, moving through me to paper. Later, I recompose the images with color and sometimes, the stamps inherited from my father.

Vote
VOTE was sketched at the polls in 2008. Textured papers were added. Somehow, I didn't finish this until 2021 when I added the "vote" letters from an election year poster. 22x30
The stamps that appear in most of the paintings are from my father's (z'l) collection of First Day Issued Covers of Israel. They inspire color selection and add a collage effect. The stamps are so beautiful for their color and content, for the historical events and people they commemorate, that they had to be shared.
